Selling the Couch, LLC (“STC”) provides services through its website, https://www.sellingthecouch.com (the “Website”), which requires capture, storage and management of user information. This statement outlines STC’s policies related to information that is gathered via the Internet and what STC does with that information (“Privacy Policy“).

Collection of Information

STC does not collect personal information automatically from anyone visiting the Website unless you voluntarily provide it or as otherwise indicated in this Privacy Policy. The user may provide personal information as a result of interacting with forms, applications, emails, or if the user is signing up for any of STC’s distribution lists (the “Distribution Lists“). Any personally identifiable information that you voluntarily provide will be collected. STC does not sell information collected online. Information is retained in accordance with this Privacy Policy and other STC policies. STC does collect Internet based information for statistical purposes using standard third-party software programs to create summary statistics. The statistics are used for the purpose of improving the Website for its users. STC does however reserve the right to share information with individuals or organizations (“STC Contractors”) who act on STC's behalf or provide certain products or services to STC or its users, including those individuals or organizations that create, manage, or host this Website and the Distribution Lists, handle payment transactions for STC, or assist STC to provide STC’s products and services to you.

In addition, you will have to leave the Website to process a payment (“STC Payment”) to purchase a STC product or service or to purchase a product or service that STC promotes or recommends. The company from which you completed a STC Payment or you purchased a non-STC product or service will inform STC of the STC Payment or the non-STC product or service purchased and will provide certain identifying information about you. Any information forwarded to STC from those STC Contractors will be kept confidential and used only for the purposes identified in the capturing transaction.

Email Distribution Lists

STC uses a third party vendor (“Email List Vendor”) to prepare and maintain the Distribution Lists. STC uses the Distribution Lists to keep interested individuals informed about important topics. Certain STC Contractors have access to the Distribution Lists in order to assist STC to provide STC’s products and services to you. Individuals must affirmatively request to join the Distribution Lists. STC, the STC Contractors, including the Email List Vendor, will not divulge the email addresses of subscribers of the Distribution Lists unless otherwise authorized or required by law or court order. However, STC shall not be responsible for any failures of the STC Contractors, including the Email List Vendor, to preserve subscriber anonymity.

Linking

This Website contains links to and interfaces with online platforms and websites created and maintained by third parties. This Website provides these links as a service to its users. When users link to an external website, they are leaving the Website and are subject to the privacy, terms of use, and security policies of the owners/sponsors of those external websites and online platforms.

STC does not knowingly contact or collect personal information from children. This Website is not intended to solicit information of any kind from children. It is possible that by fraud or deception STC may receive information pertaining to children. If STC is notified of this, as soon as STC verifies the information, STC will immediately delete the information from its servers.

STC complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA“), 17 U.S.C. §512. If STC receives a copyright infringement claim, STC will abide by the safe harbor requirements of the DMCA, which may require STC to disclose your identity if you are either the party who allegedly infringed on another party's copyright or you are the party filing the copyright infringement claim.
