Welcome! Today’s show is the first of a two-part series covering the steps in creating an E-Course. Specificallly, today’s section will cover creating and selling an E-Course. I have had experience in this since I created my Healthcasters E-Course, and I’ve definitely made many mistakes that I’m happy to share with you. Statistics show that the self-improvement industry is a $10-11 billion industry, so we know that there are a lot people who crave knowledge and want to learn. Join me for more!

Today’s topic is divided into three main parts of the process:

  1. Planning/Researching—This is the most important, but most often neglected step.
    1. Complete an exercise that divides a piece of paper into three columns for three areas:  your expertise, your passion, and areas of demand.
    2. Do an Amazon search with keywords about topics covered by books and reviews.
    3. Complete a second questionnaire focusing on who, where, how, and what.
  2. Find an audience by checking for Facebook groups on your topic, then look for high levels of activity, join the group and engage in conversations.
  3. Recording your E-Course.
    1. Keep it simple!
    2. The equipment needed includes: laptop/desktop, microphone, camera,  Powerpoint/Keynote software, and Screenflow/Camtasia software.
    3. The length of your course will vary according to topic, intention, and content.

I hope this episode has been helpful. I truly believe that everyone has at least one E-Course inside them! All it takes is knowledge and passion about any topic to be an effective teacher! Join me for next week’s episode which will cover distributing your E-Course, accepting payments, pricing, and common mistakes. Since I’ve been through this process, I have hindsight and advice to prevent you from making my same mistakes! Join me again next time! Take care!
